Branding
An ident is a short piece of video or animation which is used at the start of a program/film/advert/showreel.
The purpose of an ident is it gives the channel an identity. If it becomes successful the result would be the brand becoming iconic and popular. The difference between an ident and a logo is an ident is a moving animation whereas a logo is a still image. An example is Pixar is an ident and Nasa is a logo.

The term 'branding' originated from when farmers used to use an iron to burn a mark/name onto their livestock.
The purpose of branding is it generates ownership, it creates an identity for your company that i easily recognisable. If a branding is successful this helps the reputation to be enhanced and the name will be associated with positive connotations.
The term 'tone' for a television ident is defined as it is the way that visuals/content/audio are appropriately used to help get your messages across with your ident.
A lot of popular companies rebrand and the reason for this is because customers will get excited about the new creations and in result will get more customers.

BBC has been a company that has been around for ages and they have rebranded multiple times so as a class task we were asked to create a TV ident and then include the BBC logo.

This picture above is my logo.
Creating an Ident-13.1.23
-Couldn't find the original so went to Photoshop and used the selection tools and ordered the petals by number and after I selected all individual petals I went to Adobe Illustrator to put the layers into Adobe After Effects. And I then dragged the layers to Adobe After Effects. I then edited the name (Royal Rose Productions) and the tiara, for this I changed the opacity of the name to 0 and then to 100 and for the tiara I changed the position so it would go down.

I am very proud of my ident as it is original and the idea I had in my mind was implicated into my ident. When I first exported my ident the video was small so I had to go on the file and resize the video. Then I exported it again and this is the final result.
