Evaluation

I learned a lot about my strengths and the areas I need to develop via this assignment. It is easier for me to apply to an apprenticeship in the media because I am aware of my professional goals and I have experience due to things I have done outside of college. Another strength of mine is that I'm highly passionate about this field, this shows that I am determined to succeed.

I had a conversation with my tutor about career paths and after finishing this course I would like to do an apprenticeship and I was set some targets by my tutor to help me achieve this. My targets was to apply to more apprenticeships and to make my showreel really good. Reflecting on these targets I can say I have achieved this as I have been applying to apprenticeships and I have finished my showreel.

I created my logo a year ago and this year I updated it by changing the logo to make 'Royal Rose Productions' stand out and this was a good adaptation to make. This was easy to do but the difficult part was creating the ident and I had some help from a peer. To create the ident, all of the rose's petals have to be selected before being animated. Although it took a while, the process was effective, and I am happy with the outcome. I like how unique this ident is because I have never seen anything like it. Nevertheless, now that I know how to accomplish it, I could perform it more quickly. This was the first time that I have created an ident so it was difficult but I knew how I wanted my ident to look like.

In order to create the showreel, I first planned the content I would use, went on my files to gather it and then put them in order. After trimming the videos to remove the sections I did not like I produced titles with a matte effect that I felt was appealing. I then got the music from Ben Sound. Then I did another version of it where I did some finishing touches and I am really pleased with it as it displays some of my work I am proud of. My best pieces of work is my documentary and my music video with the visuals and the editing and also my photography I am very pleased with my pictures,
